+ FLASH DESIGN

 

I Flash.

I had to learn it really quickly for my major project in college, and while it was somewhat headwrecking at the time, I am very grateful now that I was thrown in at the deep end. I love the way that there's usually a few different solutions for each problem that you come up against, and the fact that you can do really nice things even with only the most basic knowledge of the program. I also really like its drawing tools, and have started using it even more than Illustrator for creating vector images.

 

My actionscripting is somewhere between Basic and Intermediate levels; I can write basic commands and understand and edit more complex scripting, but don't yet know how to write complex applications from scratch. The project I am currently working on (a childrens website) is using the Flash Communications Server, so I am currently learning about it and its potential.

 

I've used Flash in many different capacities - for entire websites (such as the Guitar Workshop site), and for presentations, ecards and games. I've also taught Flash classes, as part of the Elearning Course at the National College of Ireland.
